In Honor of the, 2012 Chicago Restaurants and Nightlife Survey Zagat reached out to me to write a post about a special night out in Chicago! I’m excited to be part of the first ever Zagat Chicago Blog Hop. Read about my night out below!
Being the Creator of #Foodiechat, I took my tastebuds on a Chicago Food Tour to seven of my favorite restaurants who served my guests a signature dish!
We cruised the city in style with Going Green Limousine, The Local Tourist, JenChicago, Jarrett Payton and more! We Tweeted, Checked-In on Foursquare and of course, shared our updates on Facebook as we arrived at each restaurant!
One of our stops is my favorite seafood restaurant in Chicago, Shaw’s Crab House. When we arrived they prepared for us a sampling of their famous Oysters, and Sushi.
We had Kumamotos, which are small, sweet, almost nutty Oysters characterized by their deep almost bowl shaped shell. Like pacifics, they have deeply fluted, sharp pointed shells. Also on ice we enjoyed Island Creeks, and Wellfleets.
On the Sushi Side of the plate, they brought us their Spicy Tuna Roll, Lobster Roll, and their famous Chicago Crazy Roll. Filled with Cucumber, Lettuce, Masago, Salmon, Tuna, Yellow Tail, and Chili Sauce. OMDelicious!
We Sushi Rolled ourselves back into the Limo, and headed across town to our next foodie stop…
When you’re dining out in Chicago you must visit one of Ramon Deleon’s Domino’s Pizza locations. Ramon had some of the best collections of his famous Pizza’s and Lava Cakes for us to try.
One of the best pizza’s he showcased for us is Domino’s Cali Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza! Grilled chicken breast, white sauce, smoked bacon and tomatoes on a provolone crust! Now this was #RamonWOW
It was also awesome to connect Jarrett Payton and #RamonWOW together for the first time!
We piled back into the limo with Lava Cakes in hand, B96 on the radio, and cruised down LaSalle Street to our last stop…
We concluded the evening at THE Chicago Staple, Harry Caray’s Italian Steakhouse where they served us their famous Steaks, HOLY COW! What a fun atmosphere, and the steak melted in your mouth!
What a great night of hanging out with friends, Tweeting, Eating, Taking Pictures, and Connecting. Chicago is truly a #Foodiechat town.
